Viaduct Generation adds another feather to its cap as they get nominated in TWO categories at the Black Tech Achievement Awards. The BTA awards champion Black achievement in the technology sector and aim to inspire and connect while playing a role in mapping out a more diverse, inclusive, and innovative landscape. The 2023 BTA awards will take place on the 8th of March 2023 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre and will be highlighting achievements from all those working within the tech sector, from rising stars to experienced innovators and progressive corporations.

Fabio Embaló, CEO of Viaduct Generation, has been nominated in the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ category. This award celebrates an individual who has given everything to guide their business to success within the last year. When asked about how he feels about the nomination, Fabio commented,

“It makes me extremely happy to be nominated! Last year I attended as a guest and dreamt of being nominated one day. Thanks to my team, my dream was accomplished, and now I already feel like a winner as I see one of my best friends being nominated for the Employee of the Year award too. This just shows that three years in, we are doing things the right way at VG, and all I can ask is for us to carry on in this lane. Truly looking forward to the awards evening and sharing the night with some of the most amazing individuals this country has got to offer.”

Noémie El-Maawiy, Head of Marketing at VG, has been nominated for the ‘Employee of the Year’ award.

“Honestly, when I got the news that I was a BTAA finalist, I screamed! I feel so honoured and grateful to be nominated amongst such great company, and I think it’s a testament to the great place that Viaduct Generation is to work at. I can’t wait for the awards evening. Good luck to all that have been nominated, but I’ll be rooting for everything VG, of course,” said Noémie.

Both Fabio and Noémie are going against the likes of Google and IBM in their respective categories. In true David vs Goliath fashion, Viaduct Generation is all set to face the industry leaders at the 2023 BTA awards. Although these are VG’s first Black Tech Achievement Award nominations, the emerging startup is not new to being recognised for their efforts. Previously, Fabio was a finalist in the 2022 Black British Business Awards and also The Hustle Awards.

Will David truly defeat Goliath in the Black Tech Achievement Awards? We’ll find out on 8th March!
